I have ad this for about a year now. I use it every day. I have chosen to watch most shoes on Roku because the commercials are very short and only 4 or 5 at most. I watch what I want when I want.

I bought the Roku because I was told it had a slingbox app. It does not. Therefore I returned it and no longer need to subscribe to your service. I cancelled my subscription and no longer own the Roku

There are SO MANY channels to add, that cover every interest. You could watch all day long every day and never run out of great things to watch. There is no way to go wrong.

Bought this because I wanted something aside from my gaming system, to stream videos on. I got much more. Its compact, fast, easy to use, and has an seemingly endless selection of apps to use for streaming.

Bought the Roku 3 a couple of months ago, I'm happy to have but I'm not really very impressed. There are several apps you still need to pay seperate monthly charges to access ( such as Netflix and Hulu) and several other apps that you need a cable subscription for ( if I had cable I wouldn't need a roku) the Roku works well and streaming is quick and easy. This is a good tool for a house with no kids, if there are kids personally you can several of the same apps to stream tv on the Xbox or other streaming gaming devices the cost is about the same between the two and the games on the roku also cost money so you might as well spring for a little extra for ones your kids actually want to play on a gaming device.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like all the channels and games available. I didn't like the converter I had to buy to use on my TV's. The connection is HDMI only and none of my TV's have that.
