Can't wait till our satellite contract expires!

My son bought the Roku3 for us as he wanted to get us off cable/satellite. I was worried at first, wondering if it would have clear channels/picture like the cable/satellite HD upgrade does......YES! He also got me hooked on 'Idiot Abroad'! That is sooo funny! I will be thrilled when the satellite contract expires, Roku3 is sooo much more affordable! Cable/satellite bills have gotten asinine. They're just not worth THAT much!

Waste of money!

My Roku 3 worked great for the first couple of months and I loved it. Now, I can't get through a 45 minute show without it crapping out 3 or 4 times, sometimes just hanging, sometimes going back to the home screen for no reason.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I started with one Roku2, then bought the Roku3 for my living room so the grandkids can watch Netflix and play games. Then my son bought a Roku HD when he moved into his apartment to avoid the high cable costs.Then I bought my mom her second Roku which was the 3 so she can listen to TV through the headphones cause she lives in an apartment building and tries to keep her volume down. She canceled cable too and is saving a lot of money. I love that Roku keeps adding more channels and games!

Best Streaming Device Available!

I was becoming dissatisfied with the way my PS# was streaming. Lags were becoming more and more frequent, even as I upgraded my network components. I already have 3 Roku SDs in my kids rooms so I know they are good products, but first I bought a Chromecast and Amazon Fire TV. I returned them both after a few weeks. The Roku 3 cant be matched. We frequently use Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Hulu Plus, plus others. None of them have lagged once since we got the Roku. Love the 5 ghz capability!

This is my second Roku. The concept and execution of the product are giant leaps forward in home technology. Yet, these devices are just as reliable as your old toaster. The selection of entertainment offerings, the sheer value, and the seamless packaging of apps, choices, and network setup make this a truly wise and wonderful purchase.
