I have owned the Roku 3 for about a year now it has worked with out a hitch streaming is excellent. I wish there was a way to record, the remote is very good using the head phones and the ability to use it thru walls is very good.

Roku vers Apple TV

I can see that a review of any product of this kind will depend largely on user location. Can I get over 3 local stations from an out side antenna or can I get cable and what is the price I'm willing to pay, same with Dish. The biggest consideration will be, can I get broadband internet service at a reasonable price? No data limitations. If the answer to the last question is YES, then Roku-3 is as good as Apple TV. I gave my Roku-3 to a dear friend in PA with moderate speed DSL and the available TW cable. He still has it and enjoying every minute of it rather than paying for cable. Not sure I'll ever get it back. Don't want it back as I have Verizon LTE4 with data limitations. It would cost me a mint to stream video!!!!

I bought this Roku 3 about a month ago so that I could watch my Netflix on it to my TV. My ex husband has a Roku 1 and my daughter has a Roku 2. Kinda looks like a family of Roku's. My daughter told me she really liked hers so I got one too. I am so glad I did. It works so well and it is easy to get through what you want. I guess I should have done this sooner, but money was an option at this point. Now I have and I want to say thank you for having such a cool and great product.

Easy to set up and operate. Everything you want to get out of your TV without paying for cable. We love our 3.

For the most part I give this an excellent review, reason for not giving it 5 stars is you have to reset it (unplug and replug the unit) quite often, not overnite but about once a month or so. Not a big deal but very annoying. Outside of that, definitely I give it 5 stars.

I bought as an upgrade to very old wii to get to my Netflix shows: O is the new B, House of cards, etc. Roku works much better...and faster. Had problems keeping the Roku remote synched but solved problem by using app from my phone.
