I recently bought a roku 3, due to my roku 2 XS not being operational due to a recent update which caused a looping glitch. With no help/support available, I decided to make the jump to a new roku 3. I must say that originally I was upset, due to my roku 2 XS being somewhat abandoned which made it disposable after 3 years. I was convinced that I would never buy another roku again. We'll thankfully I did! I must say the new roku 3 is better in everyway! It's faster and more stable than the old. I like its new design and it's new headphone remote option! I am proud to be a roku owner and I hope a fix will come someday to the old roku 2 XS so I can continue to use it in another room! I would definitely recommend it! If you haven't owned a roku yet! I highly recommending getting the roku 3!

I upgraded to Roku 3 in order to have YouTube on my TV. It works wonderfully and I am very happy to now have a Roku on both TVs in our home.

I have a state-of-the-art Samsung 4K UHDTV Smart TV that does most of what the ROKU 3 does. But the ROKU does them Faster & Better! Plus I have lately been using the earbuds while watching old episodes of "24" late at night. I have 3 TV's & 3 ROKU 3's and I love them all!

I purchased a roku 3 because I wanted to watch a specific channel (Universal Sports) that is no longer available via my cable company. I am able to watch the channel through a $10/month Dish Sports package. I haven't yet taken advantage of all of Roku's features (I still maintain an account with the cable company), but the user interface of Roku is as easy to navigate as a smart phone. There are some channels (like the History channel) where certain episodes can be viewed freely, but other episodes (probably recent episodes) require a paid cable subscription. I also wish there was a way to watch HGTV on Roku (if there is, I haven't found it). Issues like these (and the fact that I don't have an account with netflix, hulu, or amazon) are why I still maintain my cable company account (and primarily just use that to watch tv). I wish I could switch completely to Roku given the exorbitant cable bill, but for now, I haven't made the switch.

Have been using the roku b for several months now. I decided to drop my direct TV and purchase one . I am satisfied with my decision. It's cost effective and has been free of and defects.
