I bought this product to enhance our Monitor that was not able to connect to the Cable Co., use this product and has been a great entertainment add on to our home entertainment.

Must Restart Once a Week

I like the Roku 3 but after a few month I have to manually restart it about once a week by unplugging it and waiting ten seconds before plugging it back in. Otherwise I get lagging problems, audio issues and menu problems with Netflix etc. I still enjoy it but it's not problem free.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Battery lasts only about 2 weeks if you are using headphones on Roku 3.

I've had this Roku for a while, and really enjoy it. Previously I had an older version that was good (still in use for the spare room TV) but this one is great! I can watch TV with the headphones on and not wake up the rest of the house. It was a snap to setup and the controls are simple enough for the kids to use it. Best of all, it doesn't have to be visible due to the remote using RF.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's great but could use some improvement. I wish the remote control had a built in IR blaster to power the TV on/off and control the volume. Integrated IR would put the Roku strides above the competition. I'm astounded they don't offer that functionality. Also, there has been promise of Slingbox compatibility for years, yet Roku has failed to deliver. Advertising a function without providing the function is bad business.

Cut the cable!

We purchased a ROKU 3 one year ago and have saved about one thousand dollars in cable bills. There is almost nothing that we cannot watch with a Netflix and HuluPlus account on the ROKU. Amazing device, easy setup - we're only sorry we didn't learn about it sooner! I've recommended this to all friends and family. Roku actively adds new channels all the time. Say goodbye to your outrageous cable bills and watch what you want when you want.

I received the Roku 3 as a gift from a dear friend and I love it. I get so much more TV for the money. It works very well and I especially love the food sections.
