I am overall very happy with my decision to purchase a Roku player. It works well, never fails me and has all the shows and entertainment I want. It did take a call for help during installation as it was not as easy as 1,2,3. but they were most helpful and patient with me.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this Roku player just after last Christmas. It is my second Roku player. The first one served me well for several years, but the Roku 3 player has so many nice features, such as faster CPU and more RAM, that I had to have one. It is an EXCELLENT streaming video player! It was a breeze to install and has been rock solid reliable ever since. I would definitely recommend the Roku 3 to anyone wanting to stream videos. The picture and sound quality is very good, it's fast, reliable, and very simple and easy to use. It is one of the most rewarding purchases I have ever made.I can think of few features I would add to make it better. One feature that would be nice would be the ability to enter a word or phrase in a text box to search for. As it is now the search process is a little slow, but not so much that it effects the "likability" factor.

Have now owned for about 1 year. Used both with WIFI and Ethernet connection. Both work well.

Best thing that ever happened to me

The setup of the Roku is easy to use, and the interface is beautiful and very interactive. There are different theme choices, and they are all lovely in their own ways. The Roku always stays on, so there's no waiting for it to start up (and somehow, it doesn't use a lot of electricity). I haven't had a single connectivity problem, unlike my previous blu-ray players. The Roku is incredibly fast and it takes about three seconds to load something up on Netflix. There is no delay between pressing the button and the Roku reacting. I was hesitant to spend so much money at first, but it was the best decision I have ever made.

I can't get over how awesome this thing is. I don't miss cable at all. There is so much variety to choose from...and a lot more variety than television has actually. The remote works from almost anywhere in the house, so you can place your player anywhere the cable reaches and not worry about having to aim for the box with the remote. The headphones in the remote is also an excellent idea which I have used.....especially when my daughter is asleep at night. I love the search for movies feature. Even if I am not going to buy the movie at that time, I use it to find out about the movie in general. It is cool to be able to rent movies at home, too. I also love the religious programing channels, and there are a lot of really good ones on there. The channel selection is incredible and I actually just found out about a channel today because of an ad that was on the home screen....which is another cool feature that keeps us in touch with all the features on the Roku 3.... I know there are things that I am forgetting to write about but I hope you all know....Roku 3 ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The remote sucks the life out of the batteries over night! I have to take the batteries out each night to save them. Otherwise, I like it.

BoughIthis this several months ago because my Blu Ray player would not show subtitles for Amazon Instant Video movies. Now I have those subtitles but also the Roku is *much* faster than my Blu Ray player and also is more reliable. It is also small enough to put in a suitcase and take with you on the road (but you will need an HDMI cable as well.)

I have tried the Vizio Co Star, and the Amazon fire tv and non come close the the Roku3. I have recommended it to several of my friends. The only thing I will like to see is that users can submit a video url and have it added, or any other method to add a stream easier.
