Simple to use compared to others

I did a lot of comparing and decided on the 3 and glad I did! I hate a large learning curve, and the Roku 3 is so simple, even a USC Gamecock can use it!

HD Cable issues

I've had both Roku 2 and Roku 3. Although 3 is faster there are major problems with the HDMI cabling that is well documented if you google search it. The work around is that everytime you change the tv source or power up the tv you must unplug the hdmi cable and plug it back in. Viola easy fix, but annoying as we have to do this a few times a day. I would recommend Roku 2 as 5 stars but until they fix this problem, sorry only two stars.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Loved it, BUT

Loved it while it worked. However this thing is so darn sensitive to the power surges that it quit after only about a week or so from use. None of my other electronics did but only Roku. I returned it. I miss it dearly, and now plan on buying another one but first have to shop around for the better surge protector. Still want to cut the cord, and Roku is the answer.

Excellent value for money

For 99 used, roku 3 little box is an excellent vfm. The size of the box is very small and easy to setup anywhere. Roku 3 is easily my one stop gate way to online and home entertainment. Streaming quality is excellent, video quLity is awesome for hd. Only improvement I can think of the media player. This could support more formats.
