Excellent Product

Offers many interesting channels, many more than you can get through a DVD player of TV. Some are for pay but every thing is well explained. Set up was easy just plug it in and connect it to your TV and you're good to go.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This product is good, however it should have many more features than it does. There are some common apps that it lacks, like maxgo, starzplay, and encoreplay, as well as several basic cable apps it should have. This also really needs to add an internet browser. it has Bluetooth so it should also be compatible with Bluetooth keyboards.

Great, but...

First, I love my Roku. But (there is always a but, right?) the things freezes 3-4 times a week. I have to then reset it and any progress of shows I'm watching resets. I would give it 5 stars if it worked all the time, but the constant freezing irritates me. That said, I have not contacted Roku and need to do so before this review carries full weight.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Faster Processor Makes All the Difference

I have two Roku 2s and they require longer buffering time than the Roku 3, even when using on the same TV in the same location. The Roku 3 has almost zero need to rebuffer during the viewing of even an HD program. This was not always the case with the Roku 2. The Roku 3 also allows for using a direct Ethernet connection, although my results are based on a WiFi connection.
