Perfect!

I've owned the previous roku and roku 2 and this roku 3 is awesome. The menus respond fast. The remote doesn't require you to point it directly at the roku which is great so you can navigate while holding the remote under blankets or pillows while having a fan blast at you. Also the remote has a port for headphones or ear buds so you or your mate can watch tv without disrupting one another. There are games to play too, they are much like games you would see on any smartphone. I recommend having Netflix, hulu, Amazon video and PBS. There are hundreds of channels to add. My ps4 doesn't have a lot of channels to watch but the roku has so many. You can buy an adapter to fit the roku 3 behind your tv. The roku 3 is very small. Slightly larger than a hockey puck. Roku rules.

Several years ago I purchased what at that time was the top Roku. When I saw the Roku 3 advertised I decided to try it, and it was a very good decision on my part. It's a wonderful machine, and now that I can watch Glenn Beck and listen to my favorite tunes on Pandora, I am a VERY satisfied customer. GREAT PRODUCT!

Constantly Gives Error Messages

We constantly get a purple screen now on Netflix and Hulu and have to restart our device three our four times to get the purple screen to go away. You can hear the sound, but there's no picture. We never had any problems with our older Roku - we just wanted something in HD to go with a new TV. We really dislike the new Roku and have considered taking it back or mailing it to Roku with a nasty memo several times.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I HAVE A REASONABLY FAST INTERNET. AVERAGE 10 MPS BUT THIS ROKU IS CONSTANTLY HAVING TO LOAD. ITS VERY FRUSTRATING. BOTH MY XS AND ROKU THREE DOES THIS MOSTLY THE THREE.

Similar to other Roku units, there is a wide range of channels available. This model include gaming support and a headphone jack. Three problems: using the headphone jack runs the battery down and sometimes the android app can't connect to the Roku unit unless you manually connect by its IP address. Also, it is very hard to set up in a hotel room where you need a browser to accept their WiFi policy.
