I have 2 Roku devices, the original and the 3. The original has the old composite connection and has worked faithfully. The Roku 3 however has given me trouble right out of the box. It has to be reset almost everytime I use it, and now the remote just blinks green and doesn't operate the Roku. Luckily the old remote works.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just awesome. Bought for my wwe network plus love movies. My fiancé loves it for work out channels an food networks to.my sis is getting one for her kids they love the channels for kids.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I cannot wait to cut the cable cord, and this device is just what I needed.
I need to go up to my cabin and bring the cable box down and stop that madness. It worked right out of the box and I love it. My only concern is that I have not been able to play with this device enough yet, since I left the Roku 3 up at the cabin, so come payday, I will be purchasing another one. So simple to install and start using. The hardest thing you will have to do is enter you credit card number for the packages you will be purchasing. Cannot say enough good about it.

Better than HBO and Showtime

Bought a "Smart TV" and found it was much dumber than the Roku I had on my non-smart TV. Ended up putting a 2nd Roku on the wise-guy TV!

I bought this about 8 months ago now and could not be happier, I cut the cable and streamed everything. It has all the apps I needed. Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon prime.

I bought my Roku 3 because I was getting surgery which would keep me bedridden for a while. I don't have a smart TV in that bedroom, and I have been in the habit of binge watching streaming TV series on Netflix and the like. Roku 3 does everything I was hoping for in using an external stream player. It is simpler to use than a smart TV. It streams any content very well, including HD, and has many online options. I watch more streaming video now because of it than I do mainstream cable. It also allows me to stream video on my PC straight to TV without having to download and transfer to a DVD player. I am really impressed with this product.The only problem I had with it is that the headphone jack appears to have a slightly loose connection inside and provides scratchy audio when trying to use headphones.
