I love my Roku. Now I can conveniently access all my media subscriptions from one place. It's the best tech purchase that I've made in the last few years and I've told all my friends to get one as well. Must have!

Having both a Roku and an Apple TV - I've gotta say that I'm enjoying the Roku much more than the other. It's easier to use, and much more flexible.
I love the Roku 3 with the built-in headphone jack and the non-directional remote. little things, but they make for such a great user experience!

Not perfect

I had an older model from 2011 that although it was slower it always worked. the Roku 3 has been prone to some glitches where it needs to reboot once and a while. I blame this on software issues, not hardware failure. It always comes back and works. It also loads faster. One minor issue I have is they created this wonderful option of using headphones through the remote. Great idea and it works well with one big issue. It requires that you go into the setup and have the output set as stereo. I send my Roku signal to a surround sound system as I believe many do. I find if I have the Roku set to surround sound, then the headphone option on the remote won't work. It is a major pain in the butt to have to go into setup to change the output to stereo to get the headphones to work. Seems like there should be a "software workaround" that allows headphone use and automatic switching to stereo when using the phones and back to surround when you're not. Just my humble opinion, if someone has a different experience please post the solution as I would then use headphones more often. Thanks Rpku.

Fantastic streaming device

I'm about to turn 75, and pondered the setup of Roku 3 device; however it could not have been more simple. I love being able to use my laptop as a remote.

I have had this Roku 3, for about a year, and use it every day. There are so many channels to choose from (many of them free) and several games to play.
The Pros: Many channels (free & pay for).
Many games (free & pay for).
Easy to use.
Remote has a plug-in for a headset (wish there were two).

The Cons: On average, it reboots twice a week in the middle of watching a show.
Must use rechargeable batteries for remote because I go thru 2 in 4 days.
