Purchased this recently after getting a request for one as a gift to my daughter. And after reading about it decided to get one for myself. I have a rather large music collection and found out I could put all my music on an external hard drive and play it through my surround sound system using Roku's Media channel.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought my Roku 3 three months ago, took it on vacation, very easy to install, and the choice of channels is great! My grandson loves the games. I've been using Roku for two years, put my Roku 2 on my other TV, so I'm set in both rooms. Will probably buy the Roku stick for travel.

The unit has to be unplugged and rebooted frequently before it will load.

My Roku (1) was not up to streaming Netflix movies without stopping to adjust the download speed. Roku 3 fixed that with its blazing speed.
