What is WRONG with ROKU 3. (Hint: very little)

1. It is the product of choice for streaming. BAR NONE. Niggles: Most channels require separate sign in's which require a computer and internet access. Lose your remote -- better have the iphone app. No Dedicated Youtube. Everything else is PURRRRRRFEEEECCT.

Extremely happy with Roku 3

I've had my Roku 3 now for about 2.5 months. It was very easy to install and I have enjoyed many hours of Amazon Prime (mostly) TV and movies. I would rather watch using the Roku 3 than regular TV. I like the fact that you don't have to point the remote directly at the unit. The earphones are wonderful. I use the earphones when my mother wants to read a book without the noise of the TV. It is one of the better purchases I've made in years. I have recommended it to my family and friends. I gave my sister my first purchase of the Roku 1 to try out. If you are interested in trying it, go straight to the Roku 3 instead of like I did starting with the Roku 1.
I use it mostly to watch commercial free Amazon Prime TV and movies. I am so fed up with commercials. I can watch an hour program in about 43-45 minutes. I also love watching a whole season of TV episodes in several days. Waiting a whole week to view the next episode with regular cable TV is not fun.
The only hard part of setting up the Roku is entering the network password to get access.

Lot of cosmetic work....but liked the #2 better

Nice unit but a lot of cosmetic work. A matter of what style you like. I like the 2 much better since it was really simple and easy to use. Too much clutter on the 3. Once again might be appealing to someone's eye but nothing more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had this for a few months now and works great for nearly everything I want to stream. Hulu, Amazon Prime, Netflix, 720, and 1080p mkv's via Plex. I have 2 complaints. You can't turn it off. It stays on all the time, which leads me to complaint number 2. Due to it always being on, the long up-time has a tendency to make the roku unstable and it will lock up and reboot while you're using it. It seems to be totally random, we can go days or weeks without a lock up, then suddenly it will lock up 1 to 3 times during a 3 hour viewing session.
I would recommend this to a friend!

After I bought this I cancelled cable bc I was able to watch almost anything I wanted. I have also recommended Roku to friends and family high regard!

Wanted the wireless ear buds.

I used it for about two days and didn't like not being able to read Netflix previews. Now resides in a drawer unused.
If you are older and can't see the previews from a good distance I would not spend my money on this Roku product. I have just about every Roku model and love them.
