It's really nice to watch without being connected to cable or other TV service. Seeing an entire season of favorite programs, on demand, is really great.

This is the best Roku I have owned. Simple design, better connectivity than original Roku, great clarity and a wide variety of channels. The headphone option is very helpful especially with kids.

I already had a chromecast before owning my first roku (roku 3 in 2014). I like how many more things I can do with this product that I couldn't with chromecast. I really wanted to stream my pictures and videos from the phone/tablet to TV , which I can do now, it's not great, with a slight lag, but atleast it works. There's one issue I have noticed with my roku is that after a few days of use, I see my youtube videos play slightly slower than the original. Not sure if it's just my roku or it's common. In those case I use my chromecast for youtube videos, so not a big problem for me as of now. Overall I like this product.

Useful machine with limitations

The roku works well most of the time, it ocassionally freezes up and loses the internet connection after using it for a while. They recommend you always leave it connected but it gets hot to the touch so i unplugged it. Convenient most of the time.

My Roku performs to or exceeds every expectation. It delivers crystal clear video at 1080p and gives me access to channels that no other unit does. I use it every day.

If you are a first time Roku buyer i advice to buy Roku 3 over the previous generation. I love the headphone feature although i personally never used it since the rooms in my house are practically sound proof. Roku 3 is worth upgrading if you already have previous generation Roku, its blazing fast and you will notice a significant difference.

Best streaming out there. The 3 is much faster than XS. Works with 2.4&5ghz networks. If you are not in control of your wifi network make sure the roku channel works on your network.
