RIP Little Buddy

We had such a great time together before he went to the great lounge room in the sky. An egregious moving-related incident blinded his HDMI capabilities; no amount of resetting and tender hugs were able to restore his sight. His little light blinked till the end. I will miss him forever... RIP Little Buddy

I bought it especially for the head set, but find that it doesn't work that good. After about 30 min it cuts in and out so I no longer use them. Got a better head set and it seems to fix the problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Having a Roku device in my house since 2008 the advertised features of the Roku 3 model excited me. The price was good and I needed to add a streaming device to a new TV. What can I say, my Roku 3 is fantastic. It was extremely easy to setup, its speed of operation is unbelievable, channel content is incomparable, the new YouTube channel is very easy to use and is accessible from my iPad -- and did I mention the great remote that allows headphone usage with the TV muted for silent operation. As I have said, I love my Roku 3. I am consider buying another one for another TV in the house.

OK features - no browser and no optional keyboard

ROKU 3 is a good overall media player. But the absence of a browser and an optional keyboard is a killer for me. The Android app is good and keeps getting better - but they really need a unit where we can use it to browse, check email, youtube (youtube IS in the ROKU3 but without a keyboard - it would take you an hour to move around the tabbed keyboard. Not worth it.

Not all technology is suitable for everyday use without a lot of missteps. My Roku just works, without a lot of fanfare.
