Really close to perfection

If M-Go was less prominent and it was easier to play LAN based content . . I'd bump the rating. To go even further it would be helpful if it transcoded content too, but that would require me to give it a 6+ :)

Needs Frequently Rebooting

I use this device frequently to watch ACORN. However, I notice that I do need to reboot this device after several days or longer of inactivity. Also, the device tends to run hot so make sure that it has good ventilation.

I've had problems a couple of times and had to spend a lot of time on the phone just waiting. I think the secret codes and some tips could be posted and would solve most problems. Also, would like to have access to MSNBC. I don't.

Bought the Roku a few months back and absolutely love it. It is so much more affordable than cable and the selction of channels is great.

Best choice

Out of all the products roku is the best choice. I have apple tv and comcast drive as well. Roku has the most available choices. I would live it to be able to perform more streaming. Fios, optimum they all have live streaming theough the ipads..this would be wonderful to have through roku. Also, rather then having to go through the computer to sign in for the channel use..it would be nice if it was automatic.

A well-designed product

I bought and have been using an AppleTV, Roku 3, & Google ChromeCast to understand these technologies for a project at work. Having all 3 set up at home, the Roku is my go-to device at least 80% of the time. I really only use the other 2 to access content that I have previously purchased from iTunes or Google Play.
The magic is in the remote control and, to a lesser degree, the user interface on-screen. The Roku remote control is simply amazing. It fits well in the hand, works without aiming (it uses Wi-Fi, over traditional IR), and can do things like game control and even playing audio. For people wanting to watch TV late at night without disturbing others, the headset jack in the remote is a wonderful addition. When the remote is not quickly available, the Roku app on my iPhone loads and connects quickly (far quicker than the Apple Remote app) and allows full control of the Roku.

Love the Slingbox app

The Slingbox app works great and allows me to stream my verizon set top box through my slingbox to any TV that has roku3. It's very easy and super cool.

I have had my Roku for 6 weeks and it works really well. I live on New Zealand so tv choice is limited and pay channels are expensive. The Roku was easy to set up and the picture and sound quality is excellent
