Keep Older Feature

Older feature would give short synopsis of the title and highlight the key actors and date of production when it first appears on the screen. Now we only get a few words, no actors or dates.

Hopefully Support Doesn't Fall Off Like The Roku 2

I had purchased a couple of Roku 2 XS devices, and was very pleased with them. However, they both started to randomly freeze/reboot. I had never had any issues w/them until this point, but then the issue started on both units around the same time; which leads me to believe it is a software update version's fault. However, I have received three or four updates since then and still no fix for either unit. I did some research and found that MANY others were having the same issues. I followed all troubleshooting steps that I could find, even factory resetting the devices and removing channels to no avail. This experience leads up to my review of the Roku 3. I am very pleased with how it functions, once again, and am also happy that it has the new version of the Netflix App on it (even though the 2's still have not received this App upgrade to my displeasure). My past experience makes me very wary about a falloff for support of the Roku 3 in the future as well; leaving it to be a shadow of its current prowess as did happen with the 2 XS. I decided to give Roku one more chance with the 3, but if the support wavers again... then this will probably be the last Roku unit I purchase.

Still my favorite streaming box

The Roku is our favorite streaming box in the house. We have the 2nd gen Apple TV, and a chromecast, and love the Roku remote, interface, speed, and video quality over any other option available. I do use my Roku 3 on a wired connection and the may contribute to the speed, but the picture quality stands far above the others.

Stop paying for cable!

The prices of cable never seem to stop growing. I decided to stop being a sucker and invested in Netflix and Hulu Plus and now pay well under what I once paid monthly. A mere fraction. I purchased a Roku 2 for my living room and loved it so much I purchased the Roku 3 for my bedroom. All around excellent product.

A mixed upgrade

I have several Roku devices and the Roku 3 is certainly faster than previous models. In some areas it is noticeably faster and snappier. The primary reason for upgrading was the included support for YouTube.
However, two things keep this from being a 5 star review. Both items have to deal with the NetFlix app. First, the app is so bloated now that it seems to be slower than earlier, simpler versions of the NetFlix app. Secondly, for some odd reason, the My List feature is now missing the numbering. I now do not know how many films are in the list nor which way to scroll in order to get to the beginning. It's a little thing but frustrating.

I bought two months ago and am pleased. Though I only use this to watch Netflix. Their other channels are garbage.
