More Than I Expected

Having cut cable I was looking for a way to still watch my favorite shows. The Roku allowed me to fully utilize my Amazon Prime account and my MLB TV account. The channel selections are fantastic and I will never go back to. Cable or dish. If they ever find a way to utilize the Roku for local TV stations that would be a grand slam.

Remote sucks

I love Roku's content choices and interface, but my remote is nearly unusable. It works intermittently at best. Most times I get two or three clicks then it goes comatose for up to 30 seconds, then comes back. I tried new batteries and re-pairing it to the system, neither helped. I find myself forced to use the iOS app nearly all of the time, and even then the menus hang up from time to time. If it wasn't for the streaming speed improvements and the apps that require a 3, I would much prefer the XDS I upgraded from (or possibly a competitors product if I had it to do over again).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Where my Xbox One fails, the Roku 3 delivers. It's so fast, so reliable, and way, way easy. The remote with the headphone plugin is probably the greatest thing ever.

I bought this 2 months ago and have had some problems,,,unauthorized content appears on screen when I try to download movie. Sometimes when I power off, it's ok. Also no Redbox, one of the reasons I bought it for!

Are you tired of paying for high priced cable/satellite packages? With Roku, you can cut the cable and will never go back!!!
