I have had this for 6 months and was an upgarde o my older unit.. This one is much better and has more capability and a better interface.

I bought this to replace my aging Google TV unit and it's working great so far. I am using Netflix and ocassionally Youtube, Amazon, ESPN, etc. I still have to get better finding content using Roku channels.

I have bought my Roku 3 about 9 months back, and have enjoyed its simplicity and access to variety of channels. It has helped me cut the cable tv off, saving on my subscription costs. Be it sports, entertainment, news, I truly believe it offers far more variety than any other streaming devices.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I would give this device 5 stars if it actually played more video formats other than mp4 and mkv. The device also has a tendency to turn off and reset itself while in the middle of a show or while displaying content from another device. Please fix this problem. The sound on certain channels like VEVO has issue as well but other than these few issues I've had a good experience with the device. I haven't had cable or satellite in years and I believe I've saved thousands over the two years I've had mine.

Pleasantly Surprised.

Thought long and hard before cutting the cable. But the cost, which kept rising a little every month, and for the few shows that I really enjoy, well, it just wasn't worth it anymore. I was looking for alternatives and my son suggested Roku. So I got a digital antenna for the local affiliates (mainly to catch the local news) and hooked it up. I couldn't believe how easy the installation was. Basically it's a plug and play. There are hundreds of channels to choose from but I, personally, use Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. They have all I need and I'm discovering that British TV is far superior to ours. If your afraid of missing out on your favorite shows, as I was, don't be. If you don't mind being a season behind then I think you'll love it (because you can watch whenever) and you'll definitely enjoy the savings.

we upgraded to the new model and gave our old one away. The only difference I see is that the new one locks up more often and sometimes has to be reset.

I bought this about a month ago and it works very well. Netflix is great and my kids are using the YouTube app on it...so....I haven't been able to test other things with my kids dominating. The only thing I would ask for is this....being able to connect to my HTPC through my wired network to watch my Movies, T.V. shows and listen to my music.
