Works ok

The roku itself works very good. yet it still shows up as a WiFi hub and prevents some of my other device from receiving WiFi without unplugging the roku.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Pretty Good; Don't Like the Remote

The layout on the Roku is great, intuitive and fluid. I'm happy with the content, including the mainstream (NetFlix, Hulu, YouTube), as well as secondary channels (Ben Swann). More options are being added all the time, including that of major TV outlets (Fox, ESPN, History), and 'adult' options.
The remote is worth mentioning. It's not infrared, as your traditional remote is. It's via WiFi, which is innovative, and whatnot, but seems to be unreliable. Sometimes it works, and sometimes not. Also, they are fragile, and have a very short range. My living room is fairly large, and you have to be pretty close to the Roku 3 for it to work. Even when it does work, it isn't consistent. It also drains batteries FAST, so have extras on hand or get rechargables. If you want a replacement, there are some out there, but they aren't even as good as what come with the unit, and I haven't been able to find a like- replacement.
All the criticism aside, I'd absolutely recommend, and we've used our Roku to replace cable (which is a terrible terrible old fashioned scam). We have 3 in our home, and 1 in our mountain rental home where cable and satellite are not options.

Best way to watch what you want.

We have had a Roku for several years now and we have used it in place of cable TV. The Roku 3 we have had for over a year and it has been the best. On our old roku we needed to have it plugged in to get the best picture and no buffering but now with the roku 3 we just use the wifi and it works great.

Have three, and the whole family loves them. We cut are AT&T-uverse from the 450 package to the 300 package. By the time a movie came to their premium channels we had already seen it using the Roku.

I am 95% happy with my player, but I have to re-set it more often than I think it should need to be. If that could be fixed, I would be more willing to give it an excellent rating across the board.

GREAT ACCESSORY FOR ANY TV. I HAVE AN APPLETV AND A ROKU. THE ROKU IS MORE USER FRIENDLY SPECIALLY THIS HANDY REMOTE.
