Great product

There are some great things about roku but I have one disappointment. First it's super simple to set up and use. There's a ton of content some free and some that costs. If you love older movies and programming then a roku is perfect. However if you are looking to get away from the high cost of cable and want to watch current progamming, then you will be disappointed. The only way to access content from even the free channels like fox or nbc is by verifying you are a customer of a cable or satellite company. You shouldn't have to pay for free tv stations.

Ear buds are a great new feature!

As with many OFs (Old Fogeys - Hah! You thought I was going to say something else, didn't you?) I have some hearing loss, and the use of the ear buds makes watching movies and programs enjoyable again!

Improvement over XS

More reliable than XS, however still find myself rebooting the device once a month or device crashes itself. Not as many crashes as XS. Wireless is better and happy with overall speed. Mainly using in bedroom for Netflix. If using headphones, be prepared to change batteries more frequently. I used wireless RF gaming surround headphones from TV (not Roku bluetooth) for higher quality sound. Nicer interface. Also use USB port to stream mp$ movies from external HD. That interface can use some improvement.

I bought roku 2 years ago and was impressed. I gave it to my daughter and bought a roku 3 and I love it. Especially the head phones. I don't bother anyone. Both players work great and I am very happy

Roku 3 Good and Frustrating

I like that the Roku can show Amazon Prime videos (although I like the PS3 interface better) The included remote looks like it would be very useful, but I spent several frustrating hours trying to get it to work. I searched the internet for a solution, and discovered that my Logitech Harmony remote could work. It works great, so I took the batteries out of the Roku remote and left it in the box.

I purchased the Roku 3 sometime ago. I love it and would not buy anything else. It has done what expected and have had no problems whatsoever. I bought this because I got rid of cable (got tired of paying high prices for channels I don't even look at), and a friend recommend the Roku. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking to replace cable. Great job Roku!
