Perfect for our Living Room!

Better than having a computer in the living room. So simple and small, but works wonderfully for watching movies and video blogs we like.

First... it was so easy to hook up. My husband and I are certainly not very electronics savvy, and we had it up and running within 15 minutes. We use it mainly for Acorn TV and its wide selection of British shows. Now there is something worthwhile to watch every night. There is so much more to explore yet. This is a great product.

Great Device

We've owned the Roku 3 for over a year now. There are many attributes to like: 1) the channel presentation; 2) the connectivity to Amazon Prime and Netflix; 3) the robust search feature; 3) the association with M-Go movies and TV series; 4) the ability to listen to a program or movie with headphones and keep the wife happy; and 5) the easy to use remote. What could be improved? 1) the batteries in the remote don't last very long when you're using headphones; 2) when there is a nearby lightning strike and the power flickers, the Roku loses internet connectivity with your preferred channels - you must depower & repower the device (reboot) for it to link up correctly again; and 3) the device needs a way to stream content from your iPhone/iPad to the Roku (the 'app' doesn't work if you're streaming a movie on Safari like Outlander.) Overall, a tremendous value for the money.

I bought this in feb 2014, and I love it, I gave the original roku to my niece, but this one has awesome quality

I am proud to say that I purchased the original Roku when there were only 4 channels and 1 of them was beta! Things have changed very much since then and I am pleased with the Roku 3. The volume on the remote does not work hence I am giving 4 out of 5 stars. This means we cannot use the headphones function. Other than that it works well and I am very pleased.

Great but my grandson was able to rent 6 movies, albeit he knew enough to get them in HD. Mostly by luck it was done but I got the bill. You would think there would have been a warning or default not to be able to rent without setting up an account. I paid the bill and was happy I caught it before it got out of hand. Did I mention, he is only 4?

I just love Roku, had an older model, bought for the added features and the remote with the ear buds, they are a life saver in a home with a hearing impaired person.

I love having TV without cable or satellite

We live out in the middle of nowhere Mexico, where there is no cable or satellite and we barely have internet. The Roku lets me stream without having to wait for something to load most of the time. I'm amazed at how well it really works. Thank you Roku. Without out you I would still be renting and buying old DVDs.
