Great device

We purchased a "smart" DVD player 5 years ago and it no longer supports updates. So we added the Roku and we are now able to access the most up-to-date features of Netflix, PBS Kids and much more. Perfect!

This is my second roku. I really love the wireless remote feature on this new one. No more pointing directly at it. As far as roku in general... More channels available (and now You Tube, thank you) I have 10 mbs dsl - the picture quality is great, loads fast and we enjoy it better than cable. Can't get much better!

Have had my Roku for several months now and cannot do without it. I had no problems hooking it up myself (age 70) and programming it, I do have to keep my husband from using it as he pushes all the wrong buttons and uses wrong tv controls, last time I had to call for help. Helpers are very good if you need them, on-line help is just ok.

I bought my Roku when I decided to cancel my cable tv. I enjoy using it for Netflix, Pandora and a few news streams. I also love the ability to attached headphones to the remote.

If you do not like commercials then Roku's for you

With Amazon Prime, Hulu Plus, Showtime Anytime, M-GO, TV is enjoyable again. I rarely watch regular TV anymore due to the blocks of 5 or more commercials at a time. With Roku I can watch my favorite TV shows with no or limited commercials, even on Hulu Plus, you will get 3 commercials at the most, usually 15-30 second spots. With the Showtime Anytime channel I can catch up on old showtime series that are no longer on the Showtime lineup. With Amazon Prime, I am able to watch all of the episodes of How I Met Your Mother commercial free, not to mention other new shows like Under the Dome, or Extant. If you are thinking about getting a Roku, stop thinking and do it today, you will wonder, why you waited so long! Stop streaming content over a tablet, PC, or Smartphone, and watch your shows on the big TV screen that it was made for. Final thought. the included ear buds are great for watching TV in bed with the Roku 3's remote control, so this way you can watch what you want without disturbing your partner.

Great, but not entirely.

I received the product as a birthday gift, and I loved it. It was all great until I upgraded my wifi router to an Xfinity supplied router. The Xfinity router does not support the Roku!! Quite upsetting, but I've decided to just get my own, faster wifi router, which should be a lot better. The Roku is, however a great product.
