Good, but lacking parental controls

Really like our Roku devices, and find that they cover most of our TV related entertainment needs. However, with three kids ranging from 5-11 years old, we find the lack of true parental controls a growing issue. The current recommendation of locking the ability to add channels, and removing any channel that we consider inappropriate for the kids, is not a reasonable solution. I hope that Roku is working on an effective parental control system, so that we can continue using their devices worry free.

We use our Roku 3 every day and couldn't be happier. We got rid of cable and satellite TV long ago and have never looked back. The Roku 3 is the best entertainment value around.

I bought the Roku 2 for my livingroom some time ago and then for my office I bought the Roku 3. The Roku is so easy to set up and add channels to. With the Roku channel store it is easy to find new channels to add and there is so much content it is wonderful. Cable-cutters unite! Roku all the way!

I purchased the ROKU3 in hopes of eliminating satellite TV. I was disappointed that you either have to have a satellite/tv subscription to get some channels or you have to pay for them. It really isn't saving us much if anything. On a high note, it's easy to set up/use and I like it for streaming NetFlix movies/programs.

Solved my streaming problems

I bought the Roku 3 because I was having problems streaming movies and TV shows using my Sony Blueray player. The Sony box would rebuffer as many as ten times during a one hour program. The Roku has solved my streaming problems. The remote control is great, too. It's non-infrared, so you don't have to point it at the Roku box. The Roku 3 is a really well made, stable and quick device.

I purchased my Roku 3 about four months ago. I am very pleased with the operation of the unit as well as the amount of channels to choose from. I am extremely pleased that I can choose which providers I will pay for and which ones I will pass by, making this a great value month to month. I am also a bit surprised at how much time I was wasting sitting in front of TV when I had no choice over my pick of the shows I would watch but was forced into what the cable providers put out there for me. I am also glad that I don't need to be subjected to the onslaught of commercials that is shoved down our throats on cable.
