So very glad we upgraded to the new Roku 3! Much easier to find things and picture is excellent.

Roku good/Version 3 technology bad

I would recommend any Roku up to this one. They made this version where it broadcasts it's own SSID (network ID). This is causing unlimited grief in our house so we must unplug the roku a lot when not in use as the signal sent out from the box over powers the wireless SSID everything else uses. The box also drops wireless signal while watching periodically due to this also. We are going to setup another access point that will fix the issue but it's a lot of work for a little box. This was not an issue in earlier releases.
LOVE the headphones! Can watch while the spouse sleeps.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Its been over a year now, and so far so good, nothing negative for me to say about the Roku player. Best part about it, its very informative about the movie you have selected, nice because I have kids at home, by the way I have 2 of these players, the other one is 4 years old, and still going strong...
I would recommend this to a friend!

Review of Roku 3 remote control.

Overall I enjoy watching Netflex via my Roku 3. The remote work well except for one feature that the Roku people felt would less troublesome for its users. That was not including an on/off power switch on the remote. After using the first week I found that I had to replace the batteries every couple of days, that is troublesome. From that point on I had to remove the batteries from the remote every time I was done using it. I would suggest a small switch to break the power drain.
Other than that the Roku 3 works fine, but because of the battery problem I can not recommend it to a friend.

Great interface, easy to use.

We love the Roku, and have two of them. Roku definitely "gets it" when it comes to the user experience -- its extremely easy to use and most things can be accessed by using the simple arrows on the remote. They are always coming out with cool features like headphones that plug into the remote. The autofill search is also really easy when it comes to searching for things.
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Great Upgrade

After owning a Roku HD for a couple years, I decided to upgrade. The Roku 3 exceeded my expectations. It is snappy when browsing titles in Netflix and Amazon. Videos load quickly and play without a problem. Access to the PBS app was a plus. It was well worth the upgrade.

Love all the free stuff

I have bought several media players in search for a really good one. I think I found it in the Roku 3. I am having problems with a couple of things though, Is a little slower than I would actually like, After watching one show, have to go back to beginning and start again to watch different show, and the batteries in the remote don't last longer than a couple of weeks, am on second remote, same thing. I can get used to a couple of things though, otherwise, Love this thing.
I would recommend this to a friend!
