better than cable/satellite

Its a lot cheaper than satellite and with hulu plus I get about 90% of the shows I watched on satellite.

I have one of the first generation smart TVs and could stream Netflix but not Amazon. Did some research and went with a Roku 3. 99 % of the time I use Roku for Netflix and Amazon and it works just fine. As for the games they offer I'm just not into it but they work fine. I also haven't rented anything from Roku( movies,tv shows ect) Set up,easy.It did crash a couple times and it took awhile to figure how to fix it ( online help was little confusing) If it happens, there is a reset button on the back of the unit, just push it and start a new set up. Over all great little unit.

I purchased my first of three Roku in 2012. These devices opened up the world, in wonderful style, of instant downloading, television with ease, and digital entertainment powerhouse access to the likes of Netflix and Amazon Prime. Roku is a must-have device in my home. In fact, three of them and one is already upgraded!
Buy. Enjoy.

When the first Roku came out, I purchased it immediately and used it for the next two years. This was back on non-flatscreen TV, so the lower resolution worked fine. Eventually I upgraded to a large flat-screen TV that had Netflix, Hulu, etc built in and I ditched the Roku 1. After a few months of using my TV like that though, I couldn't stand the user experience anymore of the awfule built-in software!
I went out and bought the Roku 3 and couldn't be happier! The interface is snappy, stable, and the app selection is great! I really only use Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, and TED, but the other apps on the device look pretty great!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Purchase of my ROKU is absolutely THE BEST ENTERTAINMENT DECISION I've made in the last 2 years.Roku gives me exactly what I want in terms of cost,dependability,programming and ease of use.Roku gives me all the positives without all the negatives like I used to receive from the cable companies.

I never knew something like this existed until my daughter mentioned it. Since getting it about a year ago, now I can't imagine living without it. I have watched so many series that I had no clue how to watch before the Roku. It is so user friendly especially for an electronically challenged person like myself. Get one, you won't be sorry!
