Many Entertaining Channels

I bought my first roku 6 years ago and was totally impressed. I currently own 3 which all get used almost daily. The addition of youtube put the entertainment value over tne top.

Small package, huge delivery

I bought my Roku several months ago when our television signal provider put several of my most watched channels on an unexpected hiatus. I found the channels I could get with this small box delivered a huge package of things to see. There were programs I loved, movies I wanted to see, even news and weather if I wanted. I found programming for another member in the family that is so good, I will be getting a devise for his set as well. I didn't believe it was possible to have this much content available without a cable company or a satellite provider. Thanks to Roku, I am glad to admit I was wrong, but so glad to have found that out.

Good Money-Saver

We bought a Roku because TV and cable subscriptions were too costly. The Roku saves us money and allows us to enjoy our favorite shows. For example, Roku gives us access to Netflix, Hulu, Livestream, Pandora radio, Amazon Instant Video, and countless other apps. There aren't any monthly fees for Roku; you buy it once and have access to all of your apps (mind you, if you don't already pay for a Netflix streaming account then you won't have access through Roku.)
Features we like best:
- remote can point anywhere and still registers with the Roku
- remote has headphone jack so if only one person wants to watch something it doesn't disturb everyone in the room
- quick start-up

The only issue we have had with our Roku happened after a severe thunderstorm. It lost connectivity to the wifi and had to be restarted. That's a small problem that's probably more attributed to the wifi signal than the Roku itself.

Gets,me programs I missed out on

The Roku itself is a simple to operate device that brings all forms of entertainment to the home. I am not much of a movie fan so I have not subscribed to anything other than Hulu plus, but the tv programs (especially from Australia) have been really great and I enjoy them immensely. However, after being on for several hours, the Roku (or remote)freezes and I have to turn it off and wait for an hour or so and start in again. I don't know if it gets hot after so many hours of continuous use or what, but it happens weekly. I had the product for 2 months before anything happened, and then my remote quite working entirely and the company sent me a new one.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bought Roku3 - set up/ install was quick and easy. Navigation and ease of use is what makes this fun. I have not experienced any problems with any room or TV in my home.
