Nice upgrade

I had been using the Roku 2 for several years. I liked the interface of channels. I never noticed slow movements or any problems. With the Roku 2 one could connect to your sound system. BIG drawback to the Roku 3 is you CANNOT connect to your sound system. Yes, the headphone connection on the remote is great. But, if not, one must listen to programming through typically lousy TV speakers. That is NOT good. Therefor, the 3 stars rating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GREAT FEATURES

I primarily bought the Roku 3 for the headset feature -which I love. But the up+down+right+left button on the remote control stopped working well after about 6 months. I have to keep pressing the button repeatedly in order to make it function. Don't like that so much. Other than that I have no complaints.

Have owned Roku 3 for a year now. Downloaded over thirty channels. I have dedicated one TV to watch this on so I do not disturb rest of family. Very seldom watch commercial TV anymore except for news. Enjoy my Roku very much and have recommended to both friends and strangers they purchase.

I have had my Roku for 6 months now and after doing my research and actually using it I am convinced I made the perfect choice. I wanted the best for my money and with my Roku I feel that is precisely what I have.

I bought a new Roku 3 player last winter because my old player became obsolete. What an improvement in technology the Roku 3 is!!!! Would highly recommend it!
