Had another 'streamer'... but it didn't have near enough selections.

Great Streamer

I have had a Roku since the first one came out and still have it, as well as Roku 2 and 3. I like everything about it...but I would like it to play more then one format. Such as avi, mkv, dvx, etc. Right now it only plays mp4. Anyway I still like it and will recommend to anyone.

I've been using Roku since it hit the market. Roku 3 is the latest rendition of this entertainment streaming device. Fast downloading even with my moderate internet speed, the Roku 3 is a must for those wanting to take control of their T.V. We've saved hundreds over satellite service on movies with Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other streaming services instead of buying "premium channels." This device is worth every penny if you want to watch on your own schedule without paying through the nose for devices, packages, and recorders.

I bought this a while ago and I'd like to purchase one for another TV in my house. It has some pretty cool channels you can download for free - I use Netflix, TMZ and lifetime the most.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Are you sick of TV bills above 100$ even above 50$

I like many people paid the increasing TV bills for many years.
Finally one day I got sick of paying over 100$ for cable tv (ill let you guess the cable tv company).
I found Roku and will most likely never pay for cable tv again. ( I pay 22$ for internet and 7.99 for Netflix so basically 35 bucks per month after tax ect.)
No need to worry about local tv channels, just get a digital tv antenna (bunny ears for us old folks) and stick it in your window or where you can best tune your tv to get those for free.
Roku comes with the built in channels and if you google you will find they have custom channels or private channels that you can get the code to add them to your channel selection in Roku.
I forgot to mention my favorite feature on Roku 3.
It comes with a headset that plugs into the remote. The remote headset stops the sound going to your tv so you are listening to your favorite channel, movie ect via the headset. This is great if you wanna watch Roku late but don't wanna wake your family or neighbors. *headset only works with the Roku and not local TV as Roku is not managing local TV, your television tunes those channels.
