I have 2 Roku3 and an ATV3. The roku outperforms the ATV with the variety available and ease of use. However the Plex interface is not great and could do with a better interface
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had a Roku for over 2 years and love it. New channels are being added frequently and the selection is getting better and better. Love being able to watch movies on Netflix and Hulu, and many free classic movies and TV. Get one!

I have bought several of the earlier models so I kinda knew what to expect. They are overall a great internet tv player. The main reason I upgraded to the Roku 3 was the ability to plug in headphones, but after purchase noticed improvements to the Netflix interface and slight improvements to the speed of browsing. I have had it lockup on me three times in the 1.5 years since I purchased it. I was able to fix the problem by unplugging and plugging back in.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Had this less than a year after a friend told me about it, sure wish I had been informed much sooner. Have done away with my cable and use Roku3 only.
