My wife bought this for me. It was love at first plug n play. So many channels it can get a bit overwhelming. Change the way you do TV, watch what you want, when you want, with so many choices that you will never be bored. Music channels, Series, Movies, Documentaries... the list goes on and on!

Better than I thought

When getting the Roku, I was reviewing other products at the same time. I finally picked the Roku. Though it only has one output it fits my needs well. The hdmi output is good... but if you add a optical out that would have been better.
You can run an optical out of your TV but you won't be able to get dolby digital plus.
You can still get dolby digital 5.1 but not plus. You would have to be able to run a hdmi or optical strait to your sound receiver. Mine is older so I don't have a hdmi option.
All and all, it is a great product.

The best choice out there!

I have tried many other boxes, older Roku's, the Amazon Fire TV and the Chromecast and I must say the Roku 3 is by far the best solution for cutting the cord. The Roku 3 is FAST and it loads programs quickly. The box is easy to use and has a largest amount of content available on any one of these TV boxes (including Apple TV). The Netflix app is nice and modern (much better than what the Fire TV has). To sum it up, the Roku 3 is fast, has the largest amount of available content and makes it easy and fun to watch TV.
I would recommend this to a friend!

So Easy to Use with all the Apps I want!!

I love the ROKU 3 so much I bought a second one. It is very responsive and has all the apps I want to use. The remote control's headphone option is awesome for a bedroom TV or a TV near a desk. I talked a friend who owned apple TV into trying it and he ended up buying 4 ROKU 3's and doesn't use his Apple TV anymore... and he is a consummate Apple Product lover.

I bought a Roku 2XS a couple of years ago and loved it despite tendencies to lock and report. The Roku 3 fixed most of these problems and its faster. I'm using both in my home now.

real money saver

I decided to try the Roku because I was paying over $100 a month for satellite tv....paying for 250 channels, watching 30. So I bought the Roku...tried it while I still had satellite but did not turn satellite on...at the end of a month, cancelled my satellite. I have so much to watch!!! And new things added all the time. I figure I'm saving about $1000 a year. Gonna but another Roku for the bedroom!!
