I love this little thing!

I've had this now for awhile and I love the ease of use and the interface. I can switch from netflix to huluplus, amazon prime and yes even HBO Go! I love it.

I Love The Roku!

I was afraid to cut the cord but I am sooo glad I did. I have more to watch than on the satellite TV. There is so much to choose from, I hardly know what to watch first. The convenience of watching currently running shows when I have time is such a great feature, I don't miss watching shows "live" at all. What a great product. I am recommending it to everyone!

Ads I can't remove,survey e-mails after opting out

The main channel selection screen contains a giant ad banner that I cannot remove, despite the fact that I paid for this hardware. I can't name any other electronic device I've paid for that forces me to look at ads every time I use it.
I've opted out of Roku's e-mail list twice, yet they keep on e-mailing me asking for a survey, so here it is.
If they got rid of the ads, and you were to use a disposable e-mail when signing up, then I would definitely recommend a Roku to others.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Roku 3 is the Bomb!!!!

I started off with the HDMI Roku that was on sale Thanksgiving 2013. I upgraded one TV to a Roku 3 and I love it! The set up & features are fabulous. I won't ever go back to cable.....unless it becomes free...lol.

Lots of apps and easy to use

I've had my roku for about 2 months now and it was a solid buy. I really searched around to find the right streaming media player and compared Roku's features as opposed to their competitors and it was a hands down choice. My 2 year old loves to play the free angry birds app that came with it. I really enjoy it.

Do not search on Roku without your smartphone Roku app because searching with the Roku remote control software is a disaster. Roku is in the dark ages for streaming news and many other free channels which I get on my laptop.
