Love it!

I got my roku 3 as a gift for Christmas gift and I love it! I can watch all of my shows on separate channels! It's also super nice to be able to hook up an external harddrive to watch the movies on there! And since my control has a headphone jack I can watch tv and not wake my boyfriend up with the volume!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have used it for 6 months and could not be happier although I do have Netflix which is an extra cost The free channels are always expanding my personal menu and the ease of use is a plus

I purchased a Roku3 about eight months ago for a third tv. We currently had two earlier Roku versions that we're getting old and we're showing signs of wear and tear. They had slower processors and would occasionally have to reboot. I was so impressed with the. Roku 3 that I replaced them with two more Roku 3s. Great product and I like the ear bud feature for privacy.

I got this player with the hopes of having a simple interface to access Netflix, Crackle, and Amazon. I planned to give additional devices to family, so this woudl be my "reference suppor device" if they ran into trouble.
Overall it's what I expected: It has a few channels like the ones I need, and the interface is pretty minimalistic and snappy. Sometimes apps like Netflix appear to quit for no reason, but this is a rarity.
One thing really bothered me though:there's no good way to type a large WIFI password. I have a large, extremely-random WPA2 network key, and I had to use the remote to type each of its ~63 characters. (There is no QWERTY mechanism to enter the password, such as via a USB keyboard.) I attempted to type my password 5 times, in the hopes that i made a mistake, but the password still wasn't valid. That's a lot of button presses, and frustrated me quite a bit Ultmiately I created an alternative (shorter) password to get around this issue, but it feels very unnecessary. The Roku 3 is the first device that seemed to really fight with my WIFI key; I have tons of other devices that required no more than 2 attempts to get the right key. Quite frustrating.
I was also frustrated that I was prompted for credit card information as part of registration. I was able to disassociate the card after registration, but it seemed entirely unnecessary. There should've been an obvious way to skip this step. If there was, it's possible I didn't see it as small text on the big screen.

I absolutely love my Roku! I have so many choices, from my favorite TV shows to Movies. I didn't know watching all my favorites could be so easy!

My Christmas gift to myself last year has paid for itself many times. I tried without success to stream via my computer. Wish I had a refund for all my series DVDs now.

Nice to watch Youtube on the big screen TV

It is easy to use and "just works". Bonus, I found I can "cast" Youtube videos to my Roku as well as to my Chromcast.
