We bought this a few months ago and love it. It works so much better than the blue ray player we were using to stream with.

I bought my first Roku a little over a year ago. It was good, and it was good enough to end my cable subscription, but a bit glitchy. I have had no problems of any sort with the Roku 3. I have Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu plus, as well as 50 other apps/"channels" and never miss anything. Truly, if you're thinking about going with streaming video on a TV, this is the way to go.

I've had this player for a while I like it and it saved me a lot of money twords purchasing another smart TV.

I really like the Roku 3 except for one thing and that is the remote stopped working after a few months. I was able to find out that there is a Roku App and am using that but I'd prefer the remote really. And that is why the rate of use of product is low.

I purchased the Roku in hopes of cutting my cable. I do realize that the Roku is not a replacement for cable. I actually do not need cable but my wife can't live without it. I on the other hand would be quite happy with just Local T.V. and a Roku. The interface is awesome, it's fast with excellent picture and sound quality. I also like the fact that there are channels constantly being created all the time. There is one thing that I would consider a major disappointment; there is no Rhapsody support. If the next version of Roku doesn't have this feature I would consider switching over to a Roku competitor. Outside of this I am very happy with my purchase.

Roku 3 is Easy to Use & Setup

The title says it all. The Roku 3 is easy to setup and use. It is fast and responsive when you're looking to streaming video content from more than 1000 possible channels. It makes you want to cut the cable cord but I still like to see some of the local news and weather. I would like it better if you could control the TV input source form the Roku controller.
My only concern is the box itself get rather warm, which hasn't been a problem so far and I have had it for over two months but it always concerns me when a piece of electronic equipment runs hot.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the way you organized the selections, channels and search. I very much enjoy being able to play Youtube videos. My grand kids love to watch the Frozen song over and over. I especially like being able to choose an artist or even AFV and see selection after selection automatically play. PBS is another favorite channel. Love Pandora! Who needs hundreds of cable music channels with Pandora! I love all the choices of Christian networks. It is a wonderful collection of everything. The best part is being able to choose what I like and not have to memorize channel numbers or go through channels I never watch to get to what I like. If we could get Fox News live, or even by subscription, I would drop cable.

The Roku 3 is a great product. We started streaming Netflix the day we received our Roku 1. The only problem was we couldn't get translations of foreign languages. Our Roku 3 solved this problem. It even differentiates between English and a foreign language so we only get the translation subtitles.
