I originally purchased a ROKU stick and was completely disappointed, returned it and got the ROKU 3 and have never looked back.

I have so many devices to use to steam content (chromecast, ps3 apps, tv apps, bluray player's apps) but time and again the roku is the default the player for our family

Great streaming device

A great streaming device via wired connection. We need a device with updated apps that supports caption. Netflix, Amazon video and Hulu are with caption support. One thing missing is an (optical) audio output. I can't route the Roku output via a receiver but directly to the TV, for my family is not used to the receiver setup. Thus to hear surround sound, I need reconnect the device. If it comes with an optical out, it would be perfect.

The quality of the product is very good, as well as the quality of picture it provides!
Hopefully soon I will be purchasing one for the bedroom. Saving over $100 per month after dumping cable, is a bonus as well.

This my 5th Roku. Some of my first Rokus were not so good as they overheated and crashed,but the last 4 have been great. Love the Roku 3

Freedom from the demands of satellite and cable

I have had Roku at two locations. they reduced by TV provider costs and when I got from one location to another, it lets me pick up where I left off. Watching TV series is made easy by the system keeping track of my usage no matter where I am.

ROKU 3 Performance is standard

This was my 3rd Roku purchase and even though the menu features are much better I found that Roku 3 did not have the range that the older ROKU models in terms of my wireless network. I have a wired Roku in the living room, wireless in the kitchen and wireless in my family room. I had intended to use the newest Roku 3 in the family room but it would not connect to my wireless network. I had to place the Roku 3 the shortest distance to the wireless network so it would connect. A bit disappointed in the performance.
