It's okay. They promise THOUSANDS of channels and push the premium channels you'd naturally be attracted to. What the packaging and marketing fails to tell you is that 99% of the channels are junk and those channels or features you actually WANT are paid subscriptions or just linked to your cable/satellite account. Roku, please tell me, if I one already possesses access to cable/satellite television, then why even HAVE a Roku?!
I cant see the purpose of paying this much for a box that basically repeats what i get from my cable/satellite service providers.
This box was returned to the store a week later. Totally useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Got tired of watching streaming movies/t.v. on my computer, couldn’t get everything I wanted using our blu-ray player and especially wanted access to being able to read subtitles, which online or blu-ray player didn’t always provide. My husband and I watch everything possible with CC or subtitles as we each have some hearing loss. Roku, therefore, has been the perfect solution for us and it works great! Once in a while, there’s a breakdown in “communication” between the player and our t.v., but just rebooting the player works easily every time.

The biggest plus for Roku is that it’s so easy to use. My favorite feature on the Roku 3 is the amazing search capability. Because Roku knows what services you have access to, you can search in one place to get all the results and know where to go. I love this little hockey puck!
