Needs something

When it is working correctly, I like this product. However, every few days I need to unplug it to get a reset as it just does not boot up a program, just sits there and kinda spins. I appreciate not paying for cable but would not say that this is the most reliable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love the service! It is much easier to use than the computer interface mechanisms... However, it seems that the broadcast signals are getting aced since I bought the ROKU device... reason? not sure

Easy to use and Great Selections

I bought this 2 months ago and am very happy with the selection of channels. Our TV had access to Netflix and other services, but choked up buffering. My Roku never has a problem. I bought a second one for my brother. It solved the lousy selection on the cable service we have.

Stop using after I got a FireTV

Roku 3 can't compare to the FireTV. Unlike the Roku3 my streaming media doesn't stutter on the FireTV. So now my Roku3 sits in my closet waiting to be sold.

I've had my roku for a few months now and I'm happy with it because of the price. There's lots of channels with lots of content but most of them lack quality entertainment. Another problem is that every channel has the same setup with no deviation. It's great that roku supports mkv (but can't change dts to stereo) and mp4 but why no DivX or Xvid? So if you want something to play mkv or mp4 and you have surround sound or Netflix (which is really the only worthwhile channel for Canadians) then get a roku. (You can't manually change roku ip for American hulu access) If you are American then it is much more worth it.

This was recommended by a friend and I don't know what took me so long to get one but now I don't know how we did without it! The kids love it.....we all love having all of our shows on demand! We got rid of the cable and have no regrets
