It give flexibility of viewing Dish World shows I thinks up to 8 days old without a DVR !!

I have owned this Roku 3 since the week it came out and primarily use it to watch programming on Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu Plus and only occasionally view a few of the gazillion other possible channels. When comparing HD quality of the Roku compared to the same programming on Comcast Cable through a Tivo, the Roku is as good to a bit better BUT the speed of use and ease of use is VASTLY SUPERIOR - no comparison. The only issue was the last update that caused the audio and video to stream too fast causing voices to talk 15 to 20% too fast which forced a contact with tech support and me getting into a secret menu to take the bitstream off automatic and set it to and set to 3.5 mbps. (It would seem something is flawed if the automatic bitstream speed no longer worked) FWIW, this is my 3rd generation of Roku's.

Gobs of channels - more than I can watch. Lots of news, weather, and educational material. The remote lets you play games, and even listen to the TV privately - with a remote volume control. I love it!

THE EASE OF DOWNLOADING NEW STATION IS GREAT AND THEIR FOREVER EVOLVING WITH NEW FEATURES AND THE STATION REVIEW THAT IS LISTED WHEN YOU OPEN THE PROGRAM HELPS ME SELECT NEW ONES.

The interface is very quick and not buggy at all. The video quality is very good as well with one exception. In vudu, on very dark (mostly black) scenes, large black areas show up as bright blue. It seems like it's a decompression issue; it would just be much better if it made video errors black instead of blue.
