Awesome Gadget !

I shunned the Roku foal a long time because I have a PS3 and an X Box 360. I figured Roku had nothing to offer that I didn't already have, well I am extremely happy with my Roku 3. The channel selection is second to none, the unit is very responsive, has not missed a beat :)
I highly recommend the Roku, you will not be disappointed!

Wasn't sure what I was buying at first. Needed it to access some digital movies I bought from Amazon. Was amazed at value/features. Channels have trippled since I first bought thus prompting me to want/REQUEST a better 'search' function...that Like Google..searches across all channels/formats. I know this would require frequent updating, but certainly doable. C'mon make it even better/THE BEST! I have two now BTW.

The only thing I do not like is when you use the earbuds in the remote, the batteries get used up quickly. I have to replace them on a daily basis, so I buy rechargeable ones.

Since infrequenct and unknown updates were or weren't available for my 6 month old Roku 2 XS, I folded (as I'm sure many other customers did, as you intended) and purchased a Roku 3. Had the Chromecast been available I would have saved a ton of money and chosen it instead. Too frequent updates in media contect access devices require less costly devices.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Best streaming box regardless of price!

The Roku 3 was an improvement over my Roku 2 XS as it boots much faster which was my only complaint with the XS. There are so many channels to choose from that you'll never be able to not find entertainment. If you cut the cord with cable or satellite your saving will be substantial each month.
