This is one of the best purchases I've every made. I use it every day. The Roku 3 has allowed me to do away with a lot of my cable TV and that saved me more than enough to pay for the Roku 3.

I had a friend who recommended a Roku, so I bought one, and I'm glad I did. I use it almost every day. It was easy to set up and is easy to use. I really enjoy it, and I do recommend it.

Terrible interface problem with TV

Every time I turn on the TV and Roku, I get an error message "HDCP unauthorised. Content disabled." To clear it, I have to change the display setting. Every. Single. Time. The TV is new, the HDMI cable is new, and after I change the display setting it works great.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Roku 3 is my third Roku

So I saved the best to go in my bedroom. I love the Roku 3. I already had 2 Roku 2 XS (I think those are the letters) and was completely happy with those & doubted the 3 would be much better. Well, the 3 rocks! Every remote should have a headphone jack on it! And the is on the 3 is better. I've had Netflix for years and we have Amazon Prime and after a year we just added Hulu. It's still LOTS cheaper than cable & I only use the antenna for NFL (what was that rumor I heard about Google buying NFL package...)
If you're on the fence, don't even think about it! Go buy the Roku 3, then go buy a couple more

I have had my Roku 3 for over a year and love it so much I just bought a Roku streaming stick for the back room. I recommend Roku to all my friends and tell them to ditch the cable companies!!! I just set up two friends with the Roku streaming stick and they are in Roku heaven! I also have Apple TV but prefer Roku for all the channel choices.

Good value. I cannot compare the R3 to R1 or R2 as I only buy high-end. We don't watch much television but this is really a high value information resource. When we do watch this allows us to select only what we find useful or interesting....choices are endless. Excellent research tool (utube) ....like how to construct a Hoop-House, Solar power information, kyaking information, dual-sport motorcycles, welding woodstoves, gardening information for various climate zones, various product reviews , the names of Russian Cosmonauts from the 1950's, the names of American Psychonauts from the 1960's etc, etc;...... wonderful intellect stimulator.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best Decision I Ever Made!

I purchased my Roku3 about a month ago and am tickled pink! Acorn and Netflix downloads are so much faster then using the Apple TV. For example, downloads of Netflix from Roku 3 is about 5-10 seconds, whereas, downloading the same movie from Netflix using Apple TV takes anywhere from 15-30 minutes. Acorn is only offered through Roku products. If you are a British mystery lover, Acorn is the way to go!
