We use the Roku almost every day. I like having access to the wide variety of free videos that are available, especially on youtube.com.

Lot's of available programming

I have both the Roku3 and AppleTV. While Apple's interface is slicker and a bit more intuitive, the Roku has, by far the wider selection of programming of the two. The Roku allowed greater choice of movies, from chop-suey Kung-Fu chanels to PBS content. Also, I have HULU+, NetFlix and Amazon Prime to round out my pay experience. We have been Cable Free for 1 1/2 yrs and would be hard pressed to go back. Saving $1000/yr is sorely needed for a family of 5. The down side is questionable content and spurious channels, but that is easy enough to control. If you want to break the cable control on your content, Roku is an excellent way to do it with plenty of value.

Excellent player

I have had this player for several months. I owned another Roku model before purchasing this unit. Roku is an excellent product. I enjoy watching the programs I like instead of the trash, for lack of a better term, that is on commercial television today.

Roku 3 is much better than the Great Roku 2!

We upgraded our Roku 2 unit to use an hardwired connection to the internet and - WOW, what a difference! The earphones are a fantastic option as well. I didn't think anything of them before we got it - now I use them all the time.
