Roku 3 performance is poor

The Roku 2 is a much better device. The 3 stays on all the time so it has to be unplugged from the outlet. It overheats and malfunctions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love Roku from 1 to 3. My grandkids keep trying to take em. LOL. I have 4 of them.

I bought the Roku only a few weeks ago and I love it. Save a ton of money by not subscribing to cable tv which you don't need cause you get everything you want through the Roku. Liked it so much bought another one for the second tv. Got rid of cable forever!!! So easy to use; up and running in a couple of minutes. The earphones are the best when you want quiet and your partner wants to watch something. You don't have to hear it! Goodbye Comcast !!!

More troublesome than earlier models

More features, but not as stable. Often have to reboot the device twice before being able to stay connected continuously

We had struggled with several streaming devices buffering and stalling, but the Roku makes use of our high speed internet to give us what we want to watch when we want to watch it. It's absolutely fantastic.
