Yes there are 1000+ channels

But over 90% with watching require a subscription, the other are not worth watching, I wish a could get my money back for the Angry Bird subscription.

Great alternative to TV and DVD

I've been using my Roku 3 and it's been excellent. I've watched some of the free channels and, while there are an INCREDIBLE number of bad, cheesy movies, out there, at least they're all organized on the Roku channels and there is a lot of other good content to watch. I've bought streaming movies and they have worked well, and I've used a USB stick with the Roku acting as the media player and that worked well. I'm very satisfied.

TV IS Roku for me these days

Roku isn't another bell and whistle isn't my TV viewing. It now defines it. Recently I lost my cable for several months. Before Roku, this would have been a family crisis. But I allowed those months to pass because Roku still provided me plenty of great options for viewing. I didn't miss a thing. Cable used to equal TV for me. Not anymore--Roku is the must-have box for me.

User Interface Needs Improvement

I enjoy the video streaming made possible by my Roku 3, especially now that I can get YouTube. However I really do not like the User Interface presented by the Roku remote; it is awkward and very tedious. Somehow Roku needs to provide a normal keyboard on the remote to make the interface more friendly and efficient.

Bought this 3 months ago. Love it so far. I still have my Roku 2. If you are going to buy one go with the 3. The 2 is great for travel because it has 2 ways to connect to a hotel TV. The hotel i stay at out of town doesn't have hdmi hookup But for home use nothing beats the 3.

We love the Roku, it is an easy way to access all the movies and TV we want and stay in budget. So easy to use, our 86 year old Mom has one too!

I cut the cable and satellite cords 4 years ago and never looked back. Stream baby stream!! I had Roku when it was slow and big. Now the new one kicks butt! super fast and great menus. Thanks s for the faster processor. Roku Rocks!
