Have had this unit for several months and no complaints, they keep addding channels and I don't use cable any more, only problem I have is that the Supreme Court negated the use of Aereo for local channels and that was not the Roku's fault... If Roku could add local channels, my viewing would be complete....

Decent, but Roku 2 XS is better

I have one Roku 2 XS and one Roku 3. I'm continually having to reboot the Roku 3. Fairly regularly, the audio and video get out of sync. Sometimes it just crashes.
Also, Netflix on Roku 2 XS is generally more user-friendly. The UI is better. On Roku 3, the program synopsis is hidden away, so that you have to go to the episode list to see the synopsis for the current episode. On Roku 2 XS, it's right there as you would expect it to be.
Also, the Roku 3 seems to forget my WiFi password occasionally, which is a pain because it's very long. And the on-screen keyboard is stupidly laid out from A to Z, all in one row, so typing is super-slow.
Generally, I prefer the Roku 2 XS over the Roku 3.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We LOVE our Roku!

It's a great little device! We've had no problems with it, and we love the variety of internet stations we can pick up. Great way to see programs in HD if your cable charges extra for it!

Roku is everything you read and here about, it's excellent, I have never had an issue with my first Roku, the base model after a years use, superb track record, my Roku 3 is excellent however it has locked up a few times in the past 2 months that I have owned it while watching a movie or show, I have to unplug the power to reset, other than it works great and I would and have recommended, we will see if it continues to freeze, I gave a 2 star value rating because of the freezing.
