Amazing selection of channels; great way to supplement cable or to cut back on cable; watch what you want when you want to watch it. Needs only MSNBC programs to make it perfect.

Great Product

I've owned a Roku1, for a few years now, it's in the living room. I wanted to be able to watch my Netflix or Amazon Prime, in my bedroom? So I purchased a Roku, for myself. I was debating between a Refurbished unit, or a new Roku? The deciding factor was the ear buds feature! Price was also in the decision, but I'm so glad I decided to get the Roku 3! It's just as simple to operate, but seemingly 10 times faster! You are able to maneuver much faster through the menus, plus the programs seem to load just about instantly!

Love my Roku! But...

Roku is by far the best streaming box available, I use mine pretty much daily for watching mostly movies and TV shows using a variety of services. With the addition of the YouTube app finally, it made a good thing even better! There are only two annoyances I have with it though, and they are minor but I still have to deal with them. 1) Sometimes the Roku won't load a channel for some reason. This happens maybe once a week. I click on it, it makes the "bloop" noise, but nothing happens (Netflix and Amazon apps mostly, but probably because I use those the most). Other channels will load fine. I have found that rebooting the Roku clears it up every time. The only issue is that 2) there is no way to reboot the Roku without unplugging it! I found a few articles online that show where you can push in a complicated button combination on the remote to reboot it, but I can never remember it when I need it. It would be great if they could just add a "Reboot" option to the menu as that seems to be a much simpler solution!

Pays for itself in just a few months

If Cable companies figure out how to do a la carte TV, that'd be the first sign of trouble for Roku.
I love this little box! The Roku 3 I find to be the best of the bunch...our 2xs has occasional glitches and has to reset.
Plenty of channels, both free and for a fee, and you can spend as much or as little as you want.
Sets up in minutes with an HDMI. Great picture and sound.
Overall, we're happy with our Roku 3. Between that and an hdtv antenna, life is great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought the roku 3 because I was so tired of paying a ridiculous amount of money each month for Direct TV. I will never go back, I love it!!! I have recommended this product to all my friends and family.

Fabulous Addition to TV Viewing

Our first experiences were "Breaking Bad" & "House of Cards." We are hooked! We binged on "Breaking Bad's" earliest segments over a 10-day period & followed by watching the final season off the air. Since then, we have used Roku almost daily.
