Crashes and restarts too frequently

It locks up, crashes and restarts to often. Sometimes I have to power cycle the unit to restore operation.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought the Roku 3 four Months ago and it has improved with age. Initially it used up batteries rather quickly, but battery usage has not been of a problem lately.
The earphone jack is a nice feature also. I definitely would recommend the Roku 3 to my friends.

I love my Roku 3!! I've been a fan since generation one, and will always return my business to Roku. These devices have even replaced my cable boxes!! The selection of channels is amazing. The speed (specially the 3) is amazing. I have never had a single issue with my Roku, and plan to keep it as long as its alive. The interface is clean, sharp, and very easy to use. The device takes up 1/10th the space of normal set top boxes or dvd players. If you don't have one for streaming, you're not doing it right! I love you Roku!!

Needs a 30 second skip button

Great device. Remote needs a 30 second skip button and tv volume controls.

Love my ROKU

This is one to replace my 4 year old one. I use it to watch Netflix, Amazon, weather and my all time favorite channel Pub D Hub. They also have many free channels like Popcorn etc. It works great. I have an older model in another room also.

I have had three Rokus (still have two) and this is my favorite. The main issue I seemed to have was that with my wifi-connected Roku and TWC, I would either get buffering or no connection at all. Now that I have this wired unit, I have absolutely no issues with it. It's used about 20 hours a week with absolutely no problems. I would buy again if the need arose.
