Flakey wifi

While I love it whole it is working, it often loses it's internet connection, not the wifi itself, at least according to its report. Other devices connected to the AP are working fine during this time, but not the Roku. I even changed the AP firmware to DD-WRT to see if that would help, but no joy. When it is working, I love it's convenience for connecting to Amazon and Netflix, and the built in headphone jack in the remote. However, I find it hard to recommend it when it's internet connection is flakey. Rebooting the Roku, as well as the AP and DSL router don't resolve the issue it seems only time off does. Sounds like a heat issue, though it is out in the open.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the USB connection and the channel selection

I tried TiVo first. Then the Google Chromecast -- I wasn't pleased with the playback and controls (you have to always use your mobile device or computer to control through apps). But I've had my Roku 3 for a few months, and I adore it. So easy to use, very plug and play. And I LOVE that there is a USB port that I can use the Roku Media Channel and see photos, listen to music, or watch movies or TV I've put on a USB drive. I never have a problem with picture quality or a delay in playback (I have it plugged into the router rather than use wifi, just in case that helps it). If you're researching other options, definitely go with the roku!

the combination of Roku + Netflix + Hulu Plus + bunch of free channels is making me a very satisfied customer. I don't want to come back to cable.

I have had this just over a year now and it has functioned perfectly. Setup was easy and it never fails me. It is the perfect tool to get me away from an extremely high cable bill.

We have had our Roku 3 for over a year. Love it. We got rid of U-Verse, and now watch Netflix and Hulu extensively. Wish we had it longer. It's saved us tons.

Roko 3 - Review, A Few Suggestions

Research and then bought 2 Roku units. My only complaint is it is not easy to enter one LETTER at a time for entry process with the design of the Roku unit.
