Great Product

I love my roku player. I watch funimation using it. It is absolutely amazing compared to the web browser version of funimation. The layout is super crisp and nice.
After using the Roku 3 player, all the other layouts (eg. from xbox, wii) look pretty bad.
The ear phone jack on the remote is awesome! What a great idea!
The only thing I have complaints about is that it tends to restart more often now than when I first bought it. I think this has nothing to do with the Roku3 player and more to do with the advertisements that the channels such as vevo and hulu place.
I would recommend this to a friend!

An excellent product!

We have had our Roku for almost a year, and we are almost ready to pull the plug on cable. We've encountered very few technical glitches. The only reason I gave it four stars is because the headphone jack on the remote (a VERY COOL feature) sometimes fails and wakes my sleeping hubby.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great device for streaming

Performs as advertised. Love the availability of sub-titles! Many films with British accents or where there are overpowering background sounds, the addition of sub-titles on Netflix is awesome.
The remote hooks into your wireless net work, so it is not necessary to point the remote at the device. Line of sight is not required.
One downside. The Roku 3 has the ability to plug in headphones (ear buds supplied) but doing so quickly drains the batteries. Purchased rechargeable batteries, but then went back to my infrared headphones using the TV sound output.

Amazing little box

The amount of entertainment packed in this little box is truly amazing. I had replaced a Roku 1 box I had had for years with the model 3 and am well satisfied that I have had my monies worth from Roku.

No, Japanese support.

I cannot see Japanese character file name at Media Player mode. Need more language support.

Not as good as I expected

I'm not really thrilled with ROKU, I've had several connection problems and I've had to reset and reconnect twice to make things work. I have a brand new HD TV and the ROKU equipment is less than a year old. The latest problem that I have is when I try to access a movie or show I get the message "HDCP unauthorized content disabled." OK, I find out what it means by Googling it, ROKU help and FAQ was fairly useless, but what really upsets me is I find just what I found before with the other problems, many others have had these problems as well and it appears that ROKU seems to not be responsive in solving these problems. My use of the product has decreased and I'm thinking of switching to something else. I wish I could give ROKU a better review, but it is what it is.

Pretty awesome

We've used it for about 4 months now and we like it a lot. We completely replaced cable with this. Mostly with Netflix through the Roku but there are tons of other channel options also.
