Good for video - Lame for pictures & Games

I love the size, interface and remote control. Video display is good...Netflix,...is sup[er good in particular. Vimeo,...I would like the box to have a native app for DLNA local playback. Seems like this should be built in without a third party app. I do have major complaint though about picture display. I'd like to use my Roku 3 for pictures display/slideshow on my LCD panel..BUT there is NO app that works well. The sledshows options (whether form USB or flickr) are...NONE. Not even facde. Nothing. OCmapre to a playstation 3 which is an old gear or apple TV , they both have multiple options to display your pictures in a very nice way. This si really a big miss. My son likes to play with the angry bird game, but does not sound like there are may more out there...Wishlist for Roku 4 build a 4K Roku with HDMI 2.0, better graphics capability and built -in trasnitions so developers can built flickr, 500pix,...apps that can actually be used. Thanks!

this is my third Roku, my first Roku three. Not much different than the 2 except for the enhanced remote. Speaking of the remote my grandson loves the earphones feature when playing games, but we're disappointed that it doesn't work with other Roku items such as videos etc. Why not?

I bought this about a year ago, this is great, we moved and we didn't need cable anymore, netflix and hulu takes care of movies and tv shows, but there are plenty other apps to get and alot are free, music, cooking, children, more movies then i can list.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought my Roku a month ago and absolutely am amazed at the difference its made. There are so many choices to choose from. Movies, TV, Documentaries, etc. The list goes on and on! Love it !

I had another brand of streaming player which was very slow to respond to commands and frequently took a long time to just connect with Netflix, Amazon, etc. I finally got so frustrated that I trashed it and bought a Roku 3. The difference in response times is major.

I have had the Roku 3 for over 6 months and enjoy using it. Very easy to set up, operate, and functions are easy and simple to understand.

It is like watching regular TV

Video and audio quality is HD if hardwired to the ethernet. You cannot get a better picture if it were cable. Another upside is this model doesn't freeze and need rebooting, at least mine hasn't at this point.
