great streaming device

We gave up on cable TV last January, our only remaining connection is OTA and Roku. We have found that we do not miss cable at all. Roku has some great content including original. The only thing I wish for would be a few shows on Discovery that I liked. I hope Roku cuts a deal with them soon.

I bought this roku to replace my first roku box which was getting old and tired lol and slowing down, decided it was high time to get a decent sized player and Roku 3 fits that bill perfectly.

I have been using my R3 for several months and generally like it. I do wish that it would show picture quality like my R2 unit. The only real problem I have is that it seems to be very slow sometimes and I have to repeat a command several times before it reacts. I am not sure if this is because of my slow internet or not.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I use it mostly to watch movies on my hard drive. It's an easy to use interface with plenty of useful apps that offer great value and entertainment.

Definitely an upgrade from Roku 1

We had the original Roku, but started noticing the slower speed despite our upgraded WiFi and Internet connection, so we thought we would try upgrading to Roku 3. The setup was quick, the switch from one player to the other was seamless, and the speed is great. It was definitely a good purchase.
